Made it back

Made it home. Had a good time out West until Sunday morning. It's the first time I have seen fog so thick you could not see more than a hundred feet with sleet mixed in with it. My doors on the truck was froze sold. Rained & sleeted all day so did nothing but watch movies all day & night. Monday woke up to more fog a said to heck with it & headed home.
Thursday when I put the corn out at the feeder the Havalina came running. Had a good laugh watching them
.

I have some friends out there that owns the Grub Shack. The health inspectors have been going over their place with a fine tooth comb. To be able to open they need to get a water heater for a travel trailer behind the Restaurant. They are short on money so I told them I would see if I could find them a used one around Austin, ain't having much luck. If you know any one with a water heater out of a travel trailer let me know.

Tomorrow

Hopefully if the lords willing and the creeks don't rise I'll be setting out by my front door and looking at this tomorrow afternoon.

The view from my back door is this.

I can't wait to get back out to the Terlingua area. Have 3 parties to go to over the weekend with a lot of 4-wheeling in between. Last time I was out there we went up into the Christmas Mountains on the 4 wheelers road about 65 miles that day had a ball. Some friends of mine that live out there use their 4 wheelers more than their cars. One friend traded his 4-wheeler in last year for a new one, it had over 27,000 miles on it. I had no idea 4-wheelers lasted that long until i bought my place out there & started running around with these guys. This ranch has over 1100 miles of dirt roads on it so you could ride for days. I should start packing so I can head out in the morning. See you when I get back.

A great day

Went out & did a tether with the balloon this morning. Had a great time with some Middle School students.
Was asked about my favorite flight. It had to be this one.

This flight we left on a Friday at 5:00 pm arrived in Albuquerque, New Mexico around 5:00 am Sat. morning flew in Albuquerque that morning grabbed some sleep & headed to Taos. Flew the gorge Sunday morning grabbed a few hours of sleep & headed back and arrived around 5:00 am Monday morning back in Austin. We were very tired when we got home but it was well worth it. Think I'm to old for anymore of those trips.
